Here’s your weekly roundup of news, trends, and stories in the health & fitness space. A list of what’s happening, new innovations, interesting finds, and more.

Weekly roundup

Be Amazing launches canned greens. This product is the first of it’s kind to hit the market as greens supplements are usually powders.

  • First, I did get to try this product when it launched and it tastes great. And if you’ve had greens before, you know it’s rare to taste good.
  • Second, this is yet another example of changing the form of a popular product to create a unique advantage. The example I always use is Create putting creatine in a tasty, gummy form. Creatine traditionally was an unflavored powder and mostly used by the male weightlifting community. Simply making it a flavored gummy opened it up to an entirely new market segment. Be Amazing is essentially doing the same thing here with greens. Greens powders are popular, but a large segment of the market is probably turned off by the poor tasting powders available today. A flavorful, canned version is much more attractive to them.

Kohler and Remedy Place to debut luxury ice bath at Design Miami. Bringing the chill with an immersive social wellness and ice bathing experience at the Miami Beach EDITION hotel.

  • What intrigues me about this is how it highlights the growing trend of luxury wellness, which I have talked about time and time again. When things like this start happening at prominent art events such as Design Miami or Art Basel, it is a signal. A signal that wellness is becoming a status symbol. We’re seeing sleek designs, premium materials, and exclusivity across almost every category in the space. And it’s now reaching mainstream events. This space is just going to keep evolving.

Promix Nutrition got acquired by Paine Schwartz. The financials of the deal are unknown. But Promix was founded back in 2014 and has seen great success as one of the cleanest supplement brands out there. And don’t worry about the quality changing because of this acquisition. Their co-founder, Devon Lévesque, assured they will still live by their slogan “No Artificial Anything”.

  • I’ve been following Promix Nutrition since it’s early days. They are built on 2 prominent strategies, which are commonly used today, but they were one of the first companies to really lean into them. 1) Clean ingredients with no unnecessary additives. 2) Creator led brand featuring a CEO operator (Albert Matheny) and creator co-founder that leads distribution (Devon Levesque). Congrats to the team at Promix, well deserved acquisition.

Rorra launches premium countertop water filter. A premium water filtration system with an elegant, stainless steel design. Rigorously tested and being deemed the “Porsche 911” of water filters.

  • This product is a thing of beauty and yet another example of luxury design in wellness. Taste and aesthetics is everything today. This trend isn’t going anywhere.

Watson Gym Equipment launches premium functional trainer. The detail and precision on this machine is incredible. Adding to Watson’s premium equipment line that also includes dumbbells, benches, machines, and more.

  • I want to shout out Watson because I don’t see them getting enough public love. They make some of the best gym equipment out there both in terms of design and functionality. Their chrome dumbbells and bumper plates are my personal favorites. Check them out.
