Recent Headlines

The first Enhanced Games are coming to Vegas in 2026. Athletic competitions where athletes are allowed to take performance enhancing substances. Trying to pioneer a new era of sport that embraces scientific advancements to push the boundaries of human performance. It will feature events in athletics, aquatics, and strength.

  • So many things can be said about this. It’s wild, controversial, and seemed inevitable. Whether you think it’s brilliant or dystopian, it’s hard to ignore. Sports have always been about pushing limits and providing entertainment. Yet, many sports ban equipment and establish limits when athletes and tech get too good. But The Enhanced Games is doing the complete opposite. Embracing science. Encouraging enhancement. Seeing what humans are really capable of. I’m all for this and it feels like a natural next step in a world where science, performance, and optimization are colliding hard.

Airbnb launches fitness and wellness services. Their new “Services” and “Experiences” offerings include personal training, massages, spa treatments, prepared meals, and more.

  • Wellness travel has been trending, but it’s mostly been a luxury good. Expensive retreats, sleep labs, recovery lounges. And this move by Airbnb is providing a level that is more accessible and available at the consumer’s discretion - which is the intriguing part to watch in my opinion. The usage rates of these experiences is going to tell us a lot about the true public sentiment of wellness travel. Is the average consumer that is priced out of the luxury level actually going to use these services from Airbnb? Or is wellness travel just a bubble within elite society. Will be interesting to watch.

Esquire unveils 2025 Home Awards. Featuring several brands that have focused on bringing wellness to your home including Rorra’s countertop system, Aviron’s gamified treadmill, Ergatta's wooden rower, and San’s water purifier.

  • For years, wellness was something we left the house to go find. The gym, the sauna, the studio. But now, it’s moving into the home. Not just in theory, but through the actual objects we live with. Things like air quality, lighting, filtered water, and movement tools. People are starting to treat their home like a daily environment for recovery and performance, not just a place to crash. We’re still designing aesthetics, but now health is baked into every part of the build. In 2025 - sleep, energy, recovery, and performance all start with your house.

Equinox announces Hamptons location is back open. Featuring summer memberships that include group classes, indoor and outdoor strength training + cardio equipment, and outdoor contrast therapy with saunas and cold plunges.

  • I really like the idea of pop-up studios and gym spaces, and feel like we’ve seen more of them recently (such as Nordic Strong’s Sag Harbor pop-up). They give brands the chance to be more creative and design something fits the space and hit on current trends, without having to go all-in on a permanent build. It keeps things fresh for the consumer and gives people a fun way to switch up their routine.

Remedy Place and Scorpios Bodrum partner for wellness retreat. Called the Aegean Awakening and is 6 days long. Featuring sensory dining experiences, daily rituals, personalized wellness tools, regenerative therapies, mindful sailing experiences, and more.

  • To contrast the Airbnb news above, this wellness retreat is pure luxury wellness escapism. But it’s also part of the growing trend of wellness going immersive, personalized, and sensory rich. Tapping into the idea that wellness isn’t just physical, it’s emotional and aesthetic too. It’s luxury, but also incredibly intentional.
