Recent Headlines

The Yard Gym opens flagship location in West Hollywood. A boutique strength and conditioning facility that combines modern, aesthetic, and lifestyle-driven spaces with a strong sense of community. The new location features a dual-zone layout with a strength (RIG) and conditioning (TURF) area, an onsite cafe, wellness zone with a private ice bath and sauna, Therabody recovery tools, and more.

  • I’ve been to a couple TYG locations (Pacific Beach in SD and Power Ranch in PHX), and honestly were both great experiences. The atmosphere was on point, the crowd was solid, staff was great, and most importantly, the programming made sense. Too many group fitness spots try to reinvent the wheel with gimmicky movements just to stand out. The Yard sticks to what works - proven strength and conditioning. Studios often come and go with trends, and it’s hard to find staying power. But I think TYG has the potential to really become a main player in this segment of fitness. They have an attractive blended offering, and it’s positioned perfectly with the rise of strength training interest among consumers.

Runna unveils new “Share Your Run“ feature. Taking stats from your run and formatting them in 4 different card styles for you to choose from. Along with customization for background photos, pace charts, lap breakdowns, and more.

  • Run sharing apps are the Labubu’s of health & fitness right now. Last week we saw Zach Pogrob launch Share Aura, and now Runna rolls this out. Look, sharing workouts isn’t new, but fitness apps have always treated it as an afterthought. The difference now is that people want to broadcast their fitness. It’s self expression. It’s identity. And the apps that get this right won’t just pump out pretty charts, they’ll make you feel something. It’s a taste race.

Superpower lowers price from $499/yr to $199/yr. The all-in-one health platform that offers over 100 lab tests. Giving you a health check on heart health, hormone balance, and more. Detecting signs of over 1,000 preventable conditions. Along with a personalized action plan from their medical team. All for just $199/yr now.

  • This is a pretty insane bargain. For less than a Netflix subscription, you get everything listed above (and more). That level of access has never been on the table for consumers before, and it speaks to how quickly healthcare is changing and being democratized. One of the biggest shifts happening in the space. Now, to play devil’s advocate, are we watching a race to the bottom on price? A lot of these platforms offer similar services and seem to be in a marketing spend race. Will be interesting to see how it shakes out and what differentiation takes place.

Ultrahuman introduces Cycle and Ovulation Pro PowerPlug. A cycle tracker available on the Ultrahuman Ring AIR. Capabilities include ovulation confirmation, works on all types of cycles, predicts up to 12 cycles, and more. Offering in-app dashboards and views for a complete picture.

  • Obviously, I’m not the target market here, but I still want to acknowledge the impressive ecosystem Ultrahuman has built. And yes, I’ve mentioned this in the past, but it’s worth mentioning again. They are piecing together one of the most complete “Health OS“ ecosystems out there. This new cycle and ovulation tracker is another layer added to their smart ring, CGM, Blood Vision, and home health device. And the important thing isn’t just that these tools exist - it’s that they all connect. Props to Ultrahuman.

SHA partners with WHOOP for “Leader’s Performance“ program. An exclusive collaboration between the longevity resort and health wearable. SHA guests enrolled in the program for 7 nights or more will receive a personalized medical consultation, personal WHOOP 5.0 device, and a 12-month membership to the WHOOP platform.

  • Most wellness travel to date has been about upgrading on-site experience. Things such as nicer gyms, better spas, more wellness options while you’re there. But what’s different about this SHA x WHOOP partnership, and what I like about this, is that it extends beyond the resort. Guests not only get a personalized program during their stay, but also a WHOOP device and 12 month membership to continue the insights long after. That makes it more than a vacation perk. It’s a bridge between luxury wellness travel and long-term health.
